How Magnetism Works

What Is this Mysterious Force Called Magnetism?

In order to understand how biomagnets can heal pain, it helps to first understand how biomagnets work. Magnetism is a physical force that has a physical effect on your body.

“In a static magnet, the electrical current moves in terms of electrons orbiting around the atomic nuclei. An iron body is magnetized when the electrons become aligned to a greater degree.”

Maybe you remember the model of the atom from your high school science class. The atom’s nucleus is a combination of neutrons and protons. Orbiting or vibrating around the atom’s nucleus are the electrons. The model of the atom is somewhat similar to the model of our solar system with the planets orbiting around the sun.

How to make all electrons spin in the same direction
Each electron also spins, like the earth on its axis. Usually they spin in random directions. But, when magnetized, the electrons all spin in the same direction. When all the electrons spin counterclockwise, it creates a negative magnetic field. Or, when all the electrons spin clockwise, it creates a positive magnetic field.

Earth’s Natural, Magnetic Field
Is Necessary for All Life. Decreasing field has been linked to many ailments

A huge magnetic iron core is in the center of the earth. This natural, magnetic field measures ½ gauss by the time it reaches the earth’s surface. It bathes your body and all animals and plants in a permanent magnetic field. The earth’s natural, magnetic field is essential for the existence of all living things, including your body. Plants, animals, and humans need magnetism.

Are you magnetic field deficient?

Magnetic Field Deficiency Syndrome (MFDS), according to Dr. Nakagawa, is a condition whose symptoms include insomnia; fatigue; stiffness in the shoulders, back, and neck; chest pain; headaches; and constipation. It’s caused by lack of exposure to the earth’s magnetic field. Living in a steel-reinforced, concrete house can lead to MFDS.
Magnetism is a natural energizer for your body. Even the natural mineral magnetite has been discovered in the human brain.

Beware: use the correct pole

Remember that opposite magnetic poles attract. The opposite poles, north and south, attract one another. And the same poles, north-north or south-south, repel each other. So, a magnet’s north-seeking pole (attracted to geographic north) is really its south pole. And a magnet’s south seeking pole (attracted to the earth’s geographic south) is really its north pole.

In this book, I’ll use “negative” for the north pole (geographic south-seeking.) And I’ll use “positive” for the south pole (geographic north-seeking.)
The negative magnetic field is the one to use on your body. It calms the body and is believed to expand capillaries resulting in increased blood and oxygen to the area. The positive field stresses the body and can be dangerous with long-term exposure. Only doctors should apply the positive pole to their patients for special treatments.

Positive/South Pole:
Negative/North Pole:
Stresses the body
Increases acidity
Reduces oxygen
Increases cellular swelling
Calms the body
Neutralizes pH
Increases oxygen
Reduces cellular swelling

In addition to using the correct pole, there’s another crucial feature to learning how to magnetize your pain away

How Strong Are Biomagnets?

To magnetize your pain away, you’ll want the most powerful biomagnet possible. Magnet strength is measured in gauss and penetration depth. One gauss is about twice the strength of the earth’s natural magnetic field.

Refrigerator magnets are about 10 gauss. Therapeutic biomagnets are often between 500-1500 surface gauss..

The good news is that today there is a new type of magnet that is now 700% as powerful as the traditional magnets. The traditional magnets were often about only 300-400 surface gauss. But, the new neodymiums biomagnets are as much as 2,500 surface gauss. Higher gauss strength means deeper penetration into your body.

You can increase gauss strength and penetration even more by stacking multiple biomagnets on top of each other, with the opposite poles attracting. The gauss strength is increased by 1/3 by adding the second biomagnet. So, if you have one biomagnet rated at 2,500 surface gauss, then you add a second biomagnet of 2,500 surface gauss, then your total strength now becomes 3,333 surface gauss rating.

Look for surface gauss rating

Most manufacturers advertise their magnets’ internal gauss ratings instead of their surface gauss ratings. However, the actual gauss at the skin’s surface is much lower than the internal gauss rating. So, in our example above, a magnet rated at 45,000 internal gauss may have a surface strength of only 2,200 gauss.

The penetration of a biomagnet’s field is dependent on both its gauss and size: Length, width, and depth. So, the field penetration of a small biomagnet with a high gauss rating may equal that of a much larger magnet with a low gauss rating. The earth’s ½ gauss field extends far because of the earth’s large size.

More power = more energy = more depth of penetration.
Now you have to discover what causes you to feel pain. And to get lasting results, how to remove the root cause?

Unfortunately, some manufacturers use confusing labels. They label the magnet’s north pole as its north-seeking pole. And they label its south pole as its south-seeking pole. Danger, danger! (I’ll explain later why this is dangerous.)

What Causes Your Body to Feel Pain?

There are two types of pain: Acute pain and chronic pain. Acute pain is the result of any immediate trauma such as stubbing your toe. Chronic pain is pain that has lasted for 6 months or longer, such as lower back pain. The best way to keep acute pain from becoming chronic pain is immediate treatment.

But, what exactly in your body causes pain? After all, if we can identify the cause of your pain, then we can also identify how to remove the cause (the cure.) So, what makes you feel pain?

Let’s use some examples of physical tissue injuries to help understand how pain occurs. When you stub your toe, stress your joints, or slip and fall, chemical reactions occur in your body.

Those chemical reactions include lowering your acid-alkaline pH balance. Your body’s normal pH level is 6.0-6.8. Below 6.0 is too acidic and above 6.8 is too alkaline.

A tissue injury causes your pH level to become lower locally at the site of the wound. Then, lower acid PH results in swollen cells (edema.) Swollen cells may constrict your capillaries’ circulation resulting in:

1. Lower oxygen to the cells.

2. Slower drainage of lactic acid (metabolic toxin) from the cells.

3. Hindered repair of damaged cells.

Then, your nervous system sends a message to your brain: Ouch! That’s what causes pain. Now, how can you remove the root cause?

The secret mechanism that will relieve your pain away

Circulation is the secret. Magnets have been observed to increase blood flow to small capillaries. The capillary walls are thought to be relaxed and dilated by magnetism. Once the extra blood flow begins, then a whole chain of metabolic reactions occur:

1. pH is restored from acid to neutral, which releases oxygen from its bound form to its molecular free form.

2. Oxygen is transported for tissue regeneration to the cells.

3. Free radicals are reduced by energizing enzymes.

4. Energy is produced from ATP in the cells.

5. Metabolic toxins, such as lactic acid, are drained.
6. Cellular swelling (edema) is decreased.

“Magnetic fields appear to greatly increase blood flow in the tiny capillaries. For example, via testing…a way of measuring blood flow through the fingers, Dr. Lawrence found a rate of 300% increase in five minutes – a dramatic change. (Magnet Therapy: The Pain Cure Alternative, Ron Lawrence, M.D., Ph.D., Paul J. Rosch, M.D., p. 91

The human body is about 70% water. Magnetism lowers water’s surface tension so that it becomes thinner and more absorbable. Theoretically, watery blood circulates better after becoming thinner and more absorbable after being magnetized.

When blood flow is increased to your cells, then your body’s natural, metabolic healing functions occur much more rapidly. Circulation brings life and healing. Biomagnets don’t cure pain from the outside. They stimulate your body’s own healing processes.

“When red blood cells are examined under a microscope they are often clumped together in the blood of people with ailments. With a magnetic treatment, the red blood cells disperse, allowing more oxygen transfer from the lungs.” Getting Started in Magnetic Healing, Buryl Payne, Ph.D., p. 55.

How to Magnetize Your Pain Away

Before I tell you how to use biomagnets, I better tell you how not to use them. Biomagnet therapy is safe for everyone, except for a few special cases. Never use biomagnet therapy for any of the following:

1. Pregnant women- Biomagnets are probably safe for the fetus, but they’ve not been tested.

2. Children under the age of two- Biomagnets are probably safe for infants, but they’ve not been tested.

3. Pacemaker wearers- Biomagnets could interfere with the battery and electrical system.

4. On the abdomen within two hours of eating- Biomagnets could interfere with the secretion of digestive juices.

There are 3 ways to get magnetic energy into your body

1. Apply biomagnets directly over your pain.
2. Apply biomagnets on your foot and hand nerve reflex points corresponding to the location of your pain.

How to apply biomagnets directly over your pain

First, let’s learn how to apply biomagnets directly over your pain. You can place a biomagnet over your pain spot by using one of several different methods.

Use of Bracelets, Anklets, Necklaces, Wraps, and Earrings are widely used today to apply magnetic therapy.

How to select Therapeutic-grade Biomagnets

Reputable suppliers of therapeutic-grade biomagnets are distinguished by their commitment to quality, honesty, and customer service. If you decide to try biomagnets to relieve your pain, I’ve created a checklist of what to look for in your first magnets.

Checklist for selecting therapeutic-grade biomagnets

__1. Internal and External Gauss Ratings Advertised-

Look for both the internal and external (surface) gauss ratings to be clearly advertised. Remember that the internal rating is significantly higher than the external, surface rating.
For example, a biomagnet may have an internal rating of 10,000 gauss, but a surface rating of only 1,000 gauss. So, be careful.

__2. High Strength-
Remember that biomagnet strength is measured in gauss and size of the biomagnet. Therapeutic-grade magnets have a surface rating of 500-1500 gauss minimum. Some high quality magnets have an even higher gauss. I have seen them as high as 3500 gauss. Remember you can also multiply the gauss by stacking two magnets. Seek the highest strength magnets you can find to penetrate deep into your body.

__3. Non-Allergenic, Gold-Plated-
Some biomagnets may include ingredients such as aluminum, nickel, or other metals. These elements can cause allergic reactions when they come in contact with the skin. Gold-plating can cover any toxic elements to prevent them from contacting your skin. Gold may also enhance energy conductivity.

__4. Light Weight-
Light weight biomagnets can be easily attached to your body. But, a large 4” x 6” x 1” ceramic block magnet can weigh 5 pounds. That’s not too comfortable to try to carry around on your body. A small 6 mm x 2 mm biomagnet weighs only about an ounce. It’s easier to introduce yourself to biomagnet therapy with the smaller, lighter biomagnets. If the small ones work for you, then you can try the larger, heavier ones later.

__5. Neodymium-In 1983, high-strength, powerful neodymium biomagnets were invented. They’re made of neodymium, boron, and iron. They have the highest gauss ratings of any magnets. Their gauss strength is also more permanent and less susceptible to weaken with age.
__6. One Pole Labeled-One of the pole must be labeled and distinguished from the other. Please listen very closely. Remember that some manufacturers mislabel their magnets’ poles. They assume that the magnet’s north pole points to the earth’s geographic North Pole. Dangerous assumption!

They forget that opposite poles attract. So, the earth’s geographic North Pole attracts the opposite, south pole of the biomagnet. And the earth’s geographic South Pole attracts the north pole of the magnet.

I’ll summarize it here again to clarify
Magnet’s negative pole = magnet’s north pole = Attracted by Earth’s geographic South Pole
Magnet’s positive pole = magnet’s south pole = Attracted by Earth’s geographic North Pole

It's easy to control which pole is which with a compass. The red/blue arrow will be attracted by your biomagnet's negative/North pole.
Please be sure that your supplier understands this and labels their magnets correctly. One of the poles should be visibly marked. Otherwise, you could harm yourself by stressing your body with the wrong pole!

__7. 100% Satisfaction, Money-Back Guarantee
A satisfaction guarantee is a main policy that sets apart quality suppliers. If the supplier is confident that their products work, then why wouldn’t they guarantee them? The guarantee should allow you a minimum of 30 days to try the biomagnets. And if they don’t work, or you’re not satisfied, then you should have the right to return them for a full refund.

__8. Guaranteed New, Not Used-A satisfaction guarantee means that a few dissatisfied customers may return their biomagnets for a refund. You don’t want to get used biomagnets that may be chipped, cracked, or weakened by exposure to heat. Make sure your biomagnets are guaranteed to be new, so you don’t have to worry where they’ve been.

Painfree again

I have no doubt that in the 21st century, we will continue to see a revolution in pain treatment as long as the news is spread about biomagnet therapy. Until the end of the 20th century, there was little long lasting hope for most pain sufferers. But now, we are entering a new era of pain treatment.

I trust this has been an enlightening read for you. Let’s review some of the more important things we’ve learned.

Drawback of usual pain relief therapies

There are many pain relief therapies available today. However, many of them have at least one of 3 drawbacks. They often cause dangerous side effects, require refills, and/or are expensive.

Once difficult, now easy

Magnet therapy has been used for centuries. Only recently is it beginning to multiply exponentially in popularity. The effectiveness of magnet therapy for pain has been proven by numerous doctors’ clinical studies and also double-blind scientific studies.

Magnetism changes electrons' spin direction

Magnetism is the energy field generated when the atom’s electrons all spin in the same orderly direction. Magnetic field strength is measure in gauss, one gauss being about twice the strength of the earth’s magnetic field.

The 4 causes of pain

We’ve learned that pain is caused by swelling, poor circulation, high acid levels, and low oxygen. Those four problems are all believed to be reversible by biomagnets.

Stop pain with biomagnets and drink biomagnetic water

Biomagnets can be applied to your body with tape. Or, you can even drink biomagnetic energy into your body by magnetizing water. Magnetizing drinking water results in a subtle, sweetness that you can taste. It stimulates larger plant growth. And it removes calcium deposits from water pipes.

High strengh – good labeling are the keys

Therapeutic-grade magnets are distinguished by several features. The most important feature is the correct labeling of the negative pole. Also important is the high gauss strength for deep penetration into your tissues.

Publicly endorsed

Numerous famous people have put their reputations on the line by endorsing magnetic pain relief. Patients have reported dozens of different types of pain that have been improved with biomagnets.

I hope my research will be used to change your life. I trust you’ve found new hope if you previously despaired of ever living pain-free again. Write down today’s date in the margin of this page. A year from now, it could be an anniversary that you’ll want to remember.

Who else do you know who suffers pain? Now, you can tell them there is hope with biomagnet therapy. Feel free to pass this book onto them. You just might change someone’s life by helping them to magnetize away their pain.

“John, 70, with atherosclerotic heart disease, underwent a multiple bypass operation. Two years later, his heart pain returned, leaving him unsteady on his feet and subject to disorientation in familiar surroundings. His speech grew thick and he became chronically depressed. He slept with the negative field of several ceramic magnets placed at the crown of his head. John also continually wore a magnet strapped to his skin over his heart during the day. Within a week, his symptoms improved and, after one month of this treatment, he had no heart pain. Plus, his balance returned, his speech became distinct once again, his depression disappeared completely, and his mental confusion was remarkably reduced.”
